Dimensional Insight's Business Intelligence Terms include definitions that have been collected by Dimensional Insight from various sources. It includes industry definitions, as well as definitions specific to Dimensional Insight's patented, high performance technology.

The industry term which broadly describes Dimensional Insight technology is called "On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP)." It is a category of software that enables analysts, managers and executives to gain insight into data through fast, consistent, and interactive access.
